The New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers liked the visual style of their existing site but the clunky and complicated user interface frustrated members. In the first phase of redesign, Fleet in Being reorganized the site navigation, restructured the site language for improved readability and searchability, clarified heaps of content, and cleaned up broken code. In the second phase, we built a secure forgot password sequence for the members and a framework for organizing relevant legislation.

Architecture, web design and art portfolio for Mary. A single click starts the user and a wild jQuery ride, as tabs slide off the screen like drawers and large, stunning images fade into view.

Each project page contains a set of images which are loaded with jQuery as needed. The custom built gallery and navigation are seamlessly integrated– behind the scenes a woven net of PHP and Javascript quickly fetches new content and updates the view.

The Rinse is simple newspaper-style blog on loose leaf tea. Content is managed by super taster and tea connoisseur, Daniel Overstreet. The mission of The Rinse is to educate consumers on the increasingly popular loose leaf tea industry, connect with other tea bloggers, and comment on tea shops around the world.

The front page and sidebars aggregate excerpts from other popular tea blogs. The goal here was to make the task of maintaining a blog less burdensome by providing rewarding content to the writers, as well as the site’s readers.

A quick-and-dirty overhaul of an aging CubeCart 3 site. This minor redesign involved fixing javascript errors, straightening out broken payment gateways, and improving the usability of the shopping cart and category views.

This iteration includes Mary’s new logo for the business. A plump gaiwan and whisp of steam replace the “o” in “aroma”. A gaiwan is a lid, bowl and saucer used for steeping loose leaf tea. The shape allows plenty of room for leaves to expand, making it ideal for the high quality teas Aroma sells.

Google Analytics was also installed at the time to track general user behavior to inform our overhaul of Aroma’s online presence.
